The Department offers Master's degrees in Higher Education Administration and in College Teaching, as well as the Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education. These degrees are designed to prepare people for careers as faculty and administrators in community colleges and senior institutions. The Center for Community College Education is a unit sponsored by the Department and the University. It provides services for local community colleges, engages in research projects with member colleges, and shares concerns of common interest with community college faculty and administrators.
